Wishing  You  A  Thrifty  Christmas!

There’s no need to go out and spend a fortune on plastic to plump up the Christmas stockings, why not try your hand at making a few special homemade presents. When your children are young it’s the time to be thrifty, you may want to splash out but be warned as they get older they become very costly and prefer the latest technology…best to save for that time and pull your purse string tight at the beginning. You’ll be thankful of this 12 years down the line when the presents they yearn for only fill a toe of the stocking and begin with an i.

Rag Dolls

The simplicity of this rag doll makes it really sweet, faces can be hard to get right but with just a few circles this will look lovely. You can hand sew if you don’t have a machine, just make sure the seams are strong and there’s no chance of splitting.

Get them knowing their cabbages from their cauliflowers and their onions from their aubergines.
